This particular obi comes from a weaver's collection in Hiroshima, where the craft of obi-making has survived and thrived. Every thread was placed by hand. The fabric itself carries the weight of that labor—you can feel it.

Past Life

Another kusabana obi — different grasses, different hands, different decade. We found this through a Japanese auction; its origin story didn't come with it. The wildflower motif was beloved across generations for one reason: it carries the seasons quietly. Now it hangs from a strap pin.
